French Course Levels from Starter to C2

Our French courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). We recommend reaching B1 (levels 6–7) to communicate independently. Not sure where you are? Take a free placement test with an advisor.

A0–A1

Beginner French

Start from zero: greet people, introduce yourself, ask simple questions and handle everyday situations. What you learn at A0.

Elementary French

Talk about familiar topics, your work and your routine, and understand short everyday texts and conversations.

Intermediate French

It took me around 2 months and a half, I did it online and it was a great experience. My tutors Tr. Bellen and Tr. Ismail were fantastic, they offered support and the classes were organized live and fun. However, it can be intense in a sense that I had to study and forget what I knew about teaching because CELTA has different techniques. We where given instructions before the course started on what to expect by solving or going through 3 modules which where very helpful. I chose to take CELTA at Eton because its affordable. Each group level is 22.5 hours (12 sessions) and each private or semi-private course is 20 hours (10 sessions). Courses last 2–8 weeks, depending on your schedule.

Yes. Our Starter (A0) classes are for complete beginners and prepare you for the levels that follow.

5. Are the teachers native speakers?

Our teachers are native French speakers or specialist French teachers.
