09 Feb Head of the Arabic Language Department
Eton Institute is looking for an experienced Arabic teacher to work as a Head of the Arabic Language Department. The incumbent will be expected to perform teaching duties as well as learning & development duties when required.
Teaching duties:
- To maintain a minimum number of teaching hours per month along with learning & development duties for the Arabic language department
- To ensure all lessons are delivered with high level of preparation, quality and in strict accordance with set schedules
L&D duties may consist of:
- To design and/or customize syllabi for new courses
- Update, from time to time, existing courses for quality, content, and effective delivery online and in a classroom
- Evaluate content and learning materials to ensure they are audience- and age-appropriate
- Maintain high level of proficiency on the use of Eton’s LMS for teaching, communication and course creation purposes
- Train other teachers in their respective language departments on the use of the LMS and appropriate teaching methods
- Keep abreast of latest ed-tech solutions and teaching methods
- Collaborate from time to time with the marketing department on the development of promotional material
Role / Profile:
- Teaching qualification and/or certification for a teacher of French as a foreign language
- Experience in teaching arabic as a foreign language
- Experience in the use of an LMS or other ed tech solutions
- Effectiveness of lesson delivery online
- Understanding of outcome-based learning and ability to create high quality syllabi and lesson plans to demonstrate alignment of content and activities to learning outcomes
- Tech savvy and passionate about education technology
- Ability to work well with others and guide fellow teachers
- Timely and punctual
